About us

Afrimedic Foundation was founded in 2024 by a psychiatrist who found herself wanting to create awareness and serve the rural, underserved, people with learning disabilities and the wider community. For her first project, she worked as a contract staff to deliver free healthcare services to individuals within the Niger Delta rural communities in Nigeria. This project further ignited her passion for humanity and led to the development of the Afrimedic Foundation.

At the Afrimedic Foundation, we believe that people in rural areas are grossly marginalised and do not have access to equitable healthcare. Our mission is to make mental and physical health support accessible, inclusive, and equitable for everyone. We aim to break barriers and create a world where everyone has equal opportunities to prioritise their well-being and receive the support they need.
